The Firefly Institute is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our community through care education and healing.
We offer mental health services to children, adolescents, adults and families utilizing a variety of theoretical perspectives including, but not limited to: humanistic person centered, expressive therapies (sand, music, play, movement) dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems therapy.
These services are provided by skilled clinicians who have certification in the treatment program they are offering. This is what sets us apart from other clinics or practitioners. Training for specialized care is rigorous and requires significant commitment to education post graduate. We believe in ethics and not just checking a box saying we can do the work. Firefly clinicians are certified to do the work correctly by accredited training programs or institutions. Areas of specialty include: relationships, grief/loss, chronic illness, abuse/trauma, PTSD, mood imbalances, child therapy, attachment issues, behavior issues, anxiety, adoption/foster care issues, divorce and difficult life transitions or change.
