Clinical Supervision Program
The Firefly Institute offers clinicians seeking licensing supervision and professional development towards their goals. We can provide supervision to support provisionally licensed professionals becoming independently licensed providers. We offer supervision for clinical social workers (LCSW), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), licensed professional counselors (LPC), and registered play therapists (RPT) or registered play therapy supervisors (RPT-S).
Clinical supervision at Firefly is provided primarily through the philosophy of a developmental model. This includes a sequence of hierarchical stages of increasing skill and awareness as knowledge and practice build. We support both individual and group supervision practice to allow the opportunity for clinicians to discuss theory and practice both one on one and within a setting of their peers for additional feedback and perspectives.
All supervisors within Firefly continue to seek consultation and supervision of their own. It is our belief that supervision and consultation with a panel of colleagues who are experts within the field should last across the professional lifespan. Supervision does not end simply because one has reached licensing; ethical practice and self-care for the clinician are supported within a supervision process.
Supervision is provided to all associates within the organization who request the service. Supervision for professionals outside of the organization will be reviewed by the clinical supervisor. Clinical supervision to outside professionals is not guaranteed and only provided when caseload space is available.
